Dieter Thomas Heck

Dieter Thomas Heck (Carl-Dieter Heckscher) (born 29 December 1937 in Flensburg) is a German television presenter, singer and actor.

Life

Heck developed a stutter in 1943 after being trapped under a staircase after a nighttime British bombing raid in World War II. The stutter went away after he received training in classical music.[1]

In Germany Heck became famous in 1970s and 1980s as television presenter of ZDF-Hitparade. As actor he played in different films in Germany. Heck married in 1962 and again in 1976. He has two sons and one daughter.
